Bishop Dr Margaret Wanjiru, founder and presiding Bishop of Jesus Is Alive Ministries (JIAM), is the new Member of Parliament (MP) for Starehe Constituency in Nairobi.

Bishop Margaret was declared the winner for the Starehe parliamentary seat in the just concluded General Elections.

She was followed by the immediate former MP Mr. Maina Kamanda in what was considered to be one of the titanic political battles in this election.

At the announcement by the returning officer, Bishop Margaret's supporters broke into songs of praise thanking God for the victory.
